Spring / Summer Product Management Internship

Duration: 3-6 months
Location: Clerkenwell, London
Stipend: £560 per week (paid monthly)

If you are interested in Product Management as a career, then joining Heist for a 3-6 months internship will provide you with a challenging and enjoyable introduction to Product Management within a high-growth, VC-backed startup.

You’ll be joining our Digital Product Team, and will work closely with our Head of Product, as well as with our CTO and Development Team (both locally and remotely).

Typical Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyse user needs.
  • Research solutions and undertake market scans
  • Help to define a product vision and strategy.
  • Lead inter-functional projects, capturing requirements and rolling out business-critical software
  • Work with engineers to build and launch new features.


Heist Interns are given a lot of responsibility as well as the opportunity to deliver a meaningful contribution to their team. We always treat our interns as part of our team, so you’ll be attending our weekly all-hands meeting and will have an open-invite to all our social / team events.

You’ll be assigned a mentor from our senior team at the start of your internship, who will oversee your on-boarding, check in with you on a fortnightly basis, and then take the time at the end of your internship to provide detailed feedback, offer advice on next steps and answer any questions you may have.

About You

We firmly believe extraordinary people come from a wide range of backgrounds, but we would expect that you:

  • Will be currently enrolled in an under-graduate or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Product Design, or a related subject in a UK University (or be able to travel to the UK for the duration of your Internship*). We’ll consider applicants from other backgrounds if you can demonstrate a real passion for the subject you are studying.
  • A real interest in how digital experiences get made. You don’t need to have any specific technical skills (although SQL is always extremely useful), but you do need to be able to capable of quickly picking up, and then deeply understanding, fairly technical concepts.
  • Care deeply about Heist’s mission; you have a desire to build something iconic, that will disrupt an industry, and women’s lives.
  • You thrive on challenge and change; you naturally gravitate to the hardest questions first and love thinking differently to solve them.
  • You are biased towards action and you’re happiest when you’re ‘getting stuff done’.
  • You’re open, positive & straightforward. You’re not afraid to stand up for your convictions, even when it’s hard to do so.
  • You delight in your colleagues’ successes and thrive on your failures; you grasp any opportunity for learning and constantly seek to improve.

Our vision

We may be only two years old, but it’s already been quite a ride. Our first range reinvented the humble pair of tights, delivering 30% month-on-month growth and propelling us into the pages of almost every major European publication. We’re backed by some of the biggest investors in fashion and technology, and on a busy day, we can sell a pair of tights every 15 seconds. Even our tube adverts caused a scandal. Most importantly, we have tens of thousands of customers who genuinely love Heist and the products we develop and ship around the world.
